The long delayed Bettie Page bio movie project may be moving forward. According to a fan site for actress Guinevere Turner, "The Ballad of Bettie Page" movie is due to begin pre-production for HBO this coming Feburary. A long-time pet project for Guin Turner (she wrote the screenplay), it's unclear who may be cast as Ms. Page. Many would like Guin to play the part herself. In case you missed it, the cable channel A&E is rerunning their Playboy's 50th Anniversary Celebration on December 31st, 2003. Why is this of interest? If you watch the TV special, you'll see two short glimpses of the lovely Bettie Page, in all her current 80 year old glory. This is certainly a very rare opportunity to see her on film in her later years - this makes an interesting follow-up to the recent photo of Bettie Page at the Playboy mansion.
